Welcome to Maersk Line's BAF formula and calculator.

To make it easier for you, we have developed a BAF formula which applies to all trades. This way we take out any inconsistency in pricing and make it simple to determine your BAF.

Our "BAF Calculator" lets you work out the cost in any given corridor. Just type in the load and the discharge countries, then select the container type, and we will make the calculation for you.

  • You can find out more about the variables behind the BAF formula once your calculation has been made.
  • Our online simulator will show you how the BAF fluctuates as a consequence of bunker price changes.

Important note!
The various trades will implement the new BAF formula separately, beginning the first quarter of 2008. In our roll-out plan you can see when the new Maersk Line BAF will apply to your trade.
